100 word brief

University of Oklahoma’s wind symphony and symphony bands will be performing together at Catlett’s F. Sharp Concert Hall. For the first time in the university’s school of music, the performers will be integrated acoustic and computer electronic sounds. Two main pieces of the series are “Ecstatic Waters,” which is about the struggle between man and machine, and “Asphalt Cocktail,” which is a slang term for someone falling off a bike or a motorcycle and landing face-first on the ground. Dr. William Wakefield, Director of Bands, said that he encourages people to come and experience the music right when and where it is made.
