At my high school, grammar and spelling was not a huge issue to be taught. In my English class, my teacher would assign hundreds of in class writing essays that had to be hand written. Of course, me being not that great with grammar, every time I got my essay graded it would be coated in red ink because of all the corrections made. Now at University of Oklahoma and majoring in journalism, learning the correct grammar and spelling of words is vital. I feel like my writing is gradually improving because of all the practice I have had with writing numerous papers.
