Challenges with Sensitive Writing

The challenges I face when I'm trying to use language with sensitivity and respect for different cultures and communities is collecting and writing all the correct information. I do not want to write a paper or interview someone who has a different cultural identity than myself, and appear ignorant and narrow-minded because I didn't take the time to find and understand the correct facts. I want my writing to reflect validity of what I'm trying to reveal to the reader and not seem disrespectful because some of the information about that culture or community is inaccurate.
