The American Organ Institute at the OU School of Music will celebrate the pipe organ program at OU with a three-day gala, titled “Old Wine, New Bottles,” at Catlett Music Center.
The event, which runs from Oct. 1 through Oct. 4, will feature both the Mildred Andrews Boggess Memorial Organ in Gothic Hall, and the partially restored 3/14 Möller Municipal Organ in Sharp Concert Hall. This will be the 10-year anniversary of the installation of the Boggess Organ, while the Möller is being displayed for the first time after a 2-year renovation that has restored one-fifth of the instrument’s pipes and sound effects.
