Writing Journalistically

I’m producer on Tuesday evenings for the OU Nightly. I didn’t really know what to expect and what tasks I was meant to do until they told me I had to write the script for the news cast. It was certainly a challenge because of how concise and straight to the point each story had to be. I’m so use to writing long sentences and elaborating with every idea I write down. I use extensive vocabulary in my papers, but for a script, you can only use words the anchors are able to read and pronounce.
