Double spaced, 12 point font, times new roman, 4 pages, strong introduction and conclusion. All of these things have been told to us as students so many times that they now come naturally. When told to write an academic paper, all of these MLA style formats come to mind. When told to write journalistically, I am almost at a complete loss as to what the format and writing style are supposed to be. Because of the drastic difference between writing academically and writing journalistically, I am finding journalistic writing to be quite a challenge. The change is going to take me some time to get used to.
