The news story I covered was the opening of the Cottages of Norman. This student living complex opened on August 15th and is designed for OU students.
The community is made up of two-story carriages, cottages, duplexes or manors with 2,3,4, or 5 bedrooms. Each resident has their own rent payment of around $700.00 for utilities and living.
The Cottages offer amenities including a resort-style pool, fully equipped clubhouse and a study center to name a few. OU students are employed here and residents say they enjoy the neighborhood-like and friendly atmosphere. Leases are being signed for next year.
